Silver Arts Award

Course description:

Undertaking the Silver Arts Award qualification involves delving deeply into your chosen art form to complete an arts challenge.  Young people will also review arts events they attend as well as researching career paths in the arts.  The second unit of the course requires the young person to plan, deliver and review an arts leadership project. 


This award will suit students who are:

  • 14-16 years old

  • already engaged in arts activities

  • Considering home education

  • Looking to gain an alternative qualification with a practical, arts based skill set and detailed portfolio of evidence.


Please note that young people do not have to complete the Bronze level prior to starting Silver level.  There is however, a natural progression through the levels as skills and experiential learning grows and students develop confidence in designing their own unique pathway in the arts.

Need to know:

  • Level 2 qualification

  • QCF credit value: 10

  • Your Arts Advisor will assess your work and submit your portfolio for moderation when completed

  • Arts Award is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England

  • Group fees are negotiable.

*Moderation costs can vary depending on size of cohort entered


  • ​Approximately 22 hours of mentor support with your Arts Advisor, 40 hours arts activity and 35 hours independent study.
